Fire protection on the Coast is mostly small, practical work. A cafe needs a fire blanket near the kitchen and an extinguisher that suits what is cooked there. A workshop has a hose reel that has not been run out in a long while. A strata committee has a folder of old reports and a repair list nobody finished.
The Central Coast is the southern end of the V&H Fire Group run, which carries on north through Lake Macquarie to Newcastle.

Four services, in Coast terms
Fire protection. We supply and install extinguishers, fire blankets, hose reels, exit and emergency lighting, smoke alarms and signage, whether for a new shop in Erina or a factory unit at Tuggerah that has changed hands. Where a job needs electrical or plumbing work, we tell you up front how that part is handled.
Maintenance. Routine inspection, testing and servicing of the equipment you already have. Each item is tagged, and you get a written report on what was checked and what needs attention.
Compliance. We help owners, strata committees and property managers get their fire safety measures inspected, documented and repaired so their paperwork can be completed. Exactly what is required depends on the building, and the NSW Government is the authority on it.
Safety solutions. Evacuation diagrams, signage, staff walk-throughs and fire safety advice when you are fitting out or moving premises.

What makes fire safety on the Coast particular
Salt air. Much of the Coast sits close to the ocean or a lake. Salt air is hard on metal, so extinguishers, brackets, cabinets and hose reels kept outdoors can show rust and wear sooner than the same gear indoors.
Holiday lets. Guests in a holiday rental do not know the house, where the fire blanket hangs or what the alarm sounds like. Obvious equipment and clear information matter more when the people inside only arrived yesterday. The rules for short-term rentals are set by the NSW Government.
Bush on the edge of town. Plenty of Coast streets back onto bushland. The equipment inside a building is there for a fire that starts small inside it. It is not a bushfire plan, and for that the NSW Rural Fire Service is the authority.
None of this changes the basics: the right equipment, in the right spot, easy to reach and in working order.
